Clare Gilbert has been the Head of Health Development at Versus Arthritis since September 2022 where she leads a team who support health, care and workplace professionals to improve outcomes for people with arthritis through training, influencing and service improvement. Clare has many years of experience around the commissioning of integrated care for vulnerable adults in a local authority setting. During Covid this took on a specific focus around hospital discharge and safe community provision. Prior to this she delivered frontline care in a range of voluntary settings working with disadvantaged populations including homeless people and substance users. She has a law degree and is a qualified social worker and counsellor. She has also lived with rheumatoid arthritis from her late teens.
