When you hear the term "hot stone massage" it may well conjure up the image of someone lying in a beautiful spa, flower tucked behind ear and stones delicately placed along the back. But have we been remiss not considering their use in a more clinical setting? With focus traditionally being on cryotherapy as a treatment for pain and injury have we overlooked thermotherapy? Do hot stones have a place in an evidence-based treatment approach? In this presentation Becky will explore these questions and demonstrate some of the ways she has used hot stones to reduce pain, explore movement and instill confidence.
