Point of care ultrasound (POCUS) is increasingly being utilised by clinicians working in musculoskeletal and sports medicine in both the diagnostic and management of MSK conditions. It has often been referred to as an ‘extension of the clinical assessment’ and can add a highly rich layer of information and understanding for the clinician and patient and can impact positively on the patient’s pathway and their care.
