Despite having been deemed useless or even harmful, flexibility is one of the foundational components of movement and any activity; therefore it should be included in any rehabilitation or performance program. However, the common indication is to "do some stretching before/after" which leaves patients confused and won't lead to results. This session will address how to effectively and easily assess and program flexibility based on current evidence.
- - Review of current evidence on flexibility training
- - Understanding flexibility's role in rehabilitation and performance
- - Structuring flexibility training around the patient's goal
- - Integrating flexibility in standard training sessions
