Is clinical anatomy fit for our purpose?
Therapists deal with real people who move in the real world but our anatomy is taught as if we float in space. Clinical anatomy is out of context and out of touch with the needs of the modern therapist. This presentation will show the many ways we can improve understanding by using a different approach to anatomy.
- An appreciation of the limitations of clinical anatomy.
- An introduction to the tools and language of functional anatomy.
- The ability to describe multidimensional movement.
- An introduction to the pluripotentiality of muscle tissue.
