Therapy Expo 2015, hailed as a huge success

Over 2,000 therapy professionals and key names in the therapy world came together at Birminghams NEC, on 25th & 26th November at the hugely successful 2015 Therapy Expo. Here, delegates enjoyed the large exhibition and educational conference over a two day period for plenty of networking, CPD accredited education, practical advice and product sourcing. Delegates, including senior therapists, and management across the NHS and private care, listened to and learnt from industry leaders such as  Jon Graham, Clinical Director, PhysioFunction; Simeon Niel Asher, Bsc(Ost.), Niel Asher Healthcare; Joanne Elphinston, Physiotherapist, Performance Consultant and International Lecturer; John Doyle,  Learning & Development Manager, Physiotherapy, Nuffield Health; Shavit Enosh, Head of Certification & Training, AposMedical and Sports Technologies Inc. and Dr Ian Horsley,  Regional Lead Physiotherapist (NW), English Institute of Sport, with other key opinion leaders to explore key topics within the therapy industry.

In total, and thanks to four conference education streams, visitors took advantage of over 40 hours of accredited CPD training and development saving hundreds of pounds compared to the cost of accessing the same quality and quantity of education elsewhere.

This was confirmed by Sibghat Ullah, Physiotherapist, Nottingham City Centre Partnership I like the balance of this show. The variety of topics on the seminar programmes challenges my thinking and I like the mix of therapists that the show attracts. I've really enjoyed chatting to people on the stands and I've got lots of information to feed back to my team. It's a very accessible show and a brilliant price for a two day event.

The mix of exhibitors and educational talks was well received by delegates, including Desmond MacAulay, Physiotherapist, Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic, who commented  The content of this show is brilliant. The sessions are informative and relevant to what I do and the trade floor is interesting; I've seen lots of new products that I can use in practice. I run my own business, so this has been a good event for me.

Among the key innovations on offer at this year's event were the NEW Demo Zone and Open Theatre two forums developed to allow delegates to observe real life demonstrations by industry professionals and learn best practice. Headline-making presentations included talks on movement and anti-movement' by Joanne Elphinston and ?anatomy trains and functional movement knee injury rehab' by James Earls. The new Neuro-rehab Technology Zone additionally allowed delegates to see and even try-out the very latest technologies first hand.

In a bustling exhibition hall, perfectly complimenting the conference programme, over 100 exhibitors offered visitors one-stop access to demonstrations of the very latest in therapy products and services covering rehab technology, taping, finance, walking aids, clinic services, electro therapy equipment, hydro therapy and many more.

Exhibitor Stephen Ruffle, National Sales Manager, Rewalk Robotics said "This is the first time we've exhibited at in the UK and we've had a fantastic response. The product is very new so for us this show is all about raising awareness. This show is all about education; delegates come here to learn. We've been able to do some demos and engage with delegates. It's been excellent."

Paul Lane, Therapy Expo organiser comments on how the show has developed into a real opportunity for those with a passion for the therapy market to come together to drive new technology forward. We are delighted that so many visitors and exhibitors attended this year, endorsing our move to launch a show like this at truly international venue like the NEC.

Thanks to the support of key organisations such as the AACP, Co-kinetic, the CTN, MACP, Physio Function, STA and media partners such as Rocktape and the amazing Exceed magazine. Therapy Expo is fast becoming the place where therapy changing conversations take place.

Planning for Therapy Expo 2016 has already begun, taking place 23rd - 24th November at Birmingham's NEC, and includes a dramatically expanded CPD accredited seminar programme, expanded theatres, more workshops, live demonstrations and product launches, plus an even bigger exhibition.
