Physiotherapy & community rehab championed in NHS 10 Year Health Plan  

“We’re pleased the government recognises the pivotal role of community rehabilitation in its neighbourhood health services.” Chief Executive ofChartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), John Cowman, commented positively on the prominence of physiotherapy and community rehab as key themes in the newly release NHS 10 Year Health Plan.

GCC release education overview for 2025 

The General Chiropractic Council have released their 2025 overview of chiropractic education with pointers to developing 'stronger links with wider healthcare landscape', managing rising costs across the profession, integrating new tech (largely AI) into daily practice, and the importance of attracting new clinicians to the profession.

GOsC achieves 15 consecutive years of good regulation  

The General Osteopathic council have met all ‘Standards of Good Regulation’ in accordance with the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA) guidelines for what will now be their fifteenth year in a row. The Chair of Council, Jo Clift, stated ‘I am delighted we have again met all the PSA’s Standards of Good Regulation. Patients and osteopaths can be confident that the GOsC is a high performing and effective regulator.’

Theme announced for this year’s National Fitness Day  

National Fitness Day, 24 September, is a campaign run by ukactive that highlights the role physical activity plays across the UK, helping to raise awareness of the importance of leading healthier lifestyles. Having run each year since 2011, the campaign encourages everyone to take the first step towards including enough exercise in their daily routines. This year’s theme will be “Powered by you!”, with a focus on what you can do in your personal life to become more active.
