Ian entered the industry in 1987 as a PE teacher but rapidly abandoned this career path to follow the then newly emerging areas of Sports Therapy, Personal Training and Sports Massage, gaining a Masters Diploma. Ian also has degrees in Sports & Exercise sciences, specialising in the field of Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology and graduated from Cardiff University as a Chartered Physiotherapist. He has worked extensively with elite athletes particularly in Triathlon, Ultra Running and Power Lifting and is co owner of the award winning Reinge Clinic (www.reingeclinic.co.uk) in Warwickshire. He believes that no one therapy has all of the answers and early in his career developed a CPD group which was unique at the time, for welcoming a variety of practitioners including Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Sports Therapists, Pilates and Fitness Instructors to explore, discuss and demonstrate differing approaches to the same injures and conditions. The outcomes of this groups combined approach eventually informed the principles that led to the forming Reinge Education. (www.reinge-education.co.uk) An award wining CPD provider offering workshops for therapists and trainers that explore how combining sports science, training and therapy principles, inform one a other and create a fresh way of looking at pain and injury.
