Michelle Evans

Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation, AECC University College
Michelle's journey is marked by her dedication to the field of sports therapy and conditioning. Her academic pursuits began with an undergraduate course in Sports Therapy in 2005, followed by a Masters in Strength and Conditioning in 2011, and finally her PhD in 2020 on the topic of Exploring Ski Readiness in UK Secondary Schools. In January 2023, Michelle joined AECC University College, where her role involves contributing to the MSc courses in the field of rehabilitation. Michelle is course leader for MSc Sport Rehabilitation and Therapy and MSc Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation. Michelle had previously lectured for nine years within Sport and Exercise Therapy at Coventry University. Her main passion is working with Transplant Athletes at the British and World Transplant Games where she worked as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the athletes and guide students engaged in these complex multi-event sports. Her expertise extends to leading field trips to India, specifically YFC Rurka Kalan. During these trips, she collaborated with MSc students to design and execute educational programs for football coaches, as well as orchestrating engaging group sessions with aspiring youth football players.
