Dr. Dagmar Pavlů is a Associate Professor on Charles University (Prague, Czech Republic) and is a guarantor of Study program in Physiotherapy. She earned master’s degree in physiotherapy and later doctor’s degree in pedagogy, in 1995 she received her PhD (CSc.). In 2005 she earned the degree of an associate professor in exercise physiology. Dr. Pavlů was president of the professional organisation of Physiotherapists of the Czech Republic (till 2014), she is a Member of Executive Board of Association of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine in Czech Republic. Inbetween 2004 – 2008 she was a vice chairman of ER WCPT (European Region of World Confederation for Physical Therapy). She is very active in research, where she focuses mainly on evaluating the effect of physiotherapy methods on the widest spectrum of the population. For the given topic, she uses, among other things, rich experience from long-term practice at the Rehabilitation clinic at the University hospital in Prague (Czech Republic) as well as practice at the neurological department of the Central Military Hospital in Prague (Czech Republic). In connection with research and clinical experience, she published a number of articles on the given topic, as well as presented this topic at many foreign congresses and symposia.
