NEARBY AREAS TO STAY AND TRAVEL FROM
The following regions are well connected to NEC Birmingham and offer a mix of affordable stays, dining, and local experiences:
- Solihull
Just 15–20 minutes away by car or train, Solihull is ideal for groups looking for quality restaurants, shopping centres, and wellness spots. It's a quieter alternative to Birmingham city with plenty of Airbnb options.
- Coventry
Roughly 20–30 minutes by car or train. Coventry is a larger city offering budget-friendly accommodation, independent eateries, and cultural attractions like the cathedral. It's a good base for larger groups or those wanting easy city access without the price tag of Birmingham.
- Warwickshire
Warwickshire villages and the Rugby area are about 30–60 minutes away, a train from Rugby takes only 20 minutes. These locations offer countryside Airbnbs, pubs, and walking routes. Ideal if your group prefers a quieter, scenic setting while staying within an hour of NEC.
- Birmingham City Centre
About 15 minutes by direct train. For those who want nightlife, shopping, and city energy, staying in central Birmingham works well. Trains run late, and travel to NEC is simple via Birmingham International Station.
